Postecoglou had previously been a manager in Australia, Japan, Scotland, and England, and his team's performance against Burnley was a mixed bag. They controlled the game for much of the time, but conceded an equalizing goal and failed to secure all three points.
"It's always a tough game here," Postecoglou said. "I'm happy with certain parts of our performance, we controlled the game well and the Burnley goalkeeper made some great saves."
However, Postecoglou acknowledged that his team had some sloppy moments, which allowed Burnley to gain momentum in the game. Despite this, Forest still created enough chances to win the game.
"From seven days ago, when we played Arsenal, we look like a different team," Postecoglou said. "We saw elements of that in the game against Swansea in midweek, and I'm disappointed but also positive about the progress we're making in our play."
The team will now focus on their Europa League campaign, where they will face Real Betis in their next match. The competition holds fond memories for Postecoglou, who has three years of experience in the tournament.
"I'm really looking forward to it," Postecoglou said. "It'll be great for this group of players. I have three years of experience in the Europa League, and I know it's a great competition."
