Acheampong is a 19-year-old defender who has been identified by Bournemouth as a potential addition to their team. The club had a bid rejected for another player, Bafode Diakite from Lille, and are now looking at Acheampong as an alternative.

Bournemouth are currently looking to strengthen their backline after Dean Huijsen left the club to join Real Madrid. They also face the possibility of losing another young defender, Illia Zabarnyi, to Paris Saint-Germain.

Although Chelsea are not willing to sell Acheampong, the player is seeking assurances over the amount of playing time he will receive if he stays with the club.
