Gyokeres has joined Arsenal from Sporting CP in Portugal for a fixed fee of €63.5 million, with an additional €10 million possible in add-ons. He has signed a five-year contract with the club.
It is worth noting that Gyokeres was under the impression he could leave Sporting CP for a lower fee, around £51 million plus add-ons, based on a perceived agreement between the two parties.
Gyokeres will now wear the famous number 14 shirt, previously worn by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
