Elliott has made it clear that he wants to leave Anfield, and several European clubs have been in touch with his representatives.

Liverpool, however, are not keen on selling him outright and would prefer to loan him out instead.

The Reds believe that a full season away on loan will help Elliott develop his skills and return to the team stronger in the future.
