Speaking ahead of the team's Club World Cup match against LAFC, Maresca mentioned that the absence of Jadon Sancho and Mykhailo Mudryk has left a gap in their lineup.
He stated that the team currently has Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto, and Tyler George as their primary wingers, but acknowledged that additional reinforcements would be beneficial.
When questioned about the team's attempts to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, Maresca was evasive in his response.
He mentioned that Robert Sanchez is the team's current number one goalkeeper, with Filip Jorgensen serving as the backup.
Maresca also revealed that the team will be joined by goalkeeper analyst Mike Penders in the coming weeks, who will help evaluate the team's goalkeeper options and make a final decision on potential transfers.
